Problem with sorters and assembling machine
Hello, I just try this game and i'm stuck with the assembling machine.
The sorters don't work with the assembling machine nothing goes in the machine.
Electricity is connected to everything, the assembling machine have the good recipe and the components are good one, and the sortes are in the right direction. So I don't understand why the assembling machine don't take the components.

Your assembly machine is the wrong way - delete it and the sorter, then put it down again paying attention to the little white doors.

Wrong way? The assembler can be placed any which way. It's just how you place the inputs and outputs that matters. In this case I would just try deleting the assembler sorters and replacing them.

It's possible that during the build, the belt leading to the input sorter was deleted and built again, and didn't correctly attach to the sorter. In that case it would normally be indicated with a broken link.

The assembler orientation is fine, it has three sorter connectors on all four sides.

In this case, it may be a minor bug. Try deleting the assembler and placing a new one. I trust you understand how to place sorters considering you have them setup on your smelters correctly.

O'm about 75% certain that your sorter on the Assembler Input is backwards. Input has to go from the belt into the machine when placed. Putting a sorter in the machine going out will make it an output port.

I thought this, too, but taking a closer look at the input sorter, it appears to have the arrow pointing into the assembler.

I can't even make out the input/output if it's only a tile long.

Yeah, sorry! My bad.

I've found sometimes I have placed one segment of conveyor belt too close to the assembler then I place a sorter over it without realizing the one belt segment is there. I have to delete the sorter, then delete the wrongly placed conveyor belt segment, run the conveyor belt properly up almost to the assembler and then put in the sorter again and all is well.

As others have mentioned, simply deleting the assembler and starting again would be the simplest way to correct the problem I've had.
