Multiplayer mods

So, I saw in this game's tags "multiplayer". Me and my friends bought it, but it seems it doesn't have this feature. (Why is there a multiplayer tag, though?) Browsing the internet, we found that there are mods that allow multiplayer mode. Has anyone here tried any of those? Are they any good?

Yes, Nebula Multiplayer Mod is quite stable now. Full playthrough is possible, and de-sync issues can be solved by reconnecting. The one hosting the game needs to do port-forwarding though.
