Help on Conveyor Belts

Anyone knows how to smooth the steepness of the conveyor? When I am trying to elevate the conveyor, it only elevate the 1 block making it like a waterfall.

That's a new feature that was added a couple of patches ago. (10.30.23272)

" Added a upgrade [Conveyor Belt Slope Limit], it can be unlocked after researching [Super Magnetic Field Generator]. If unlocked, building a Conveyor Belt will not be limited by its slope."

I have not played since then so I don't know how to control that.

In my experience it'll slope (instead of stair stepping) the belts as long as there is room -- that is, as long as you have enough horizontal distance between where you asked it to start the elevation change as where you have the cursor when you click to place the belt. The game only uses only slope rate (about 45 degees) - so if the horizontal distance is insufficient it can't fit that slope in and will (now) go vertical instead.
(Before the update it'd just show that an an illegal placement and wouldn't let you even try)

I already tried long horizontal distance (If you can see the link I posted, the 2nd image), the elevation only applies to the first block.

Yea, I saw that update. I think before the update I can do the smooth elevation, but now I can't do it anymore. Not sure if there is a keybind to fix that, but I don't see anything that can change my conveyor's steepness.

Ok I think that is only a bug, after playing the game again, the steepness already fixed.

I think you can cycle between smooth and steep elevation using TAB.

No, it just a bug where I can't change how steep the conveyor. After restarting the game it got fixed.

One thing to note that is that tab is also used to switch the item filter in the logistic towers, which simultaneously changes the slope on a belt when you are running a new belt out of of a tower. It is responsible for my belts being in the wrong mode 100% of the time.

Not a bug, it even says on the right side "TAB Change path when lift", the only way this is not possible when conveyor is too short. The thing is sometimes when you build it will use this vertical option because normal ones won't fit and then it's selected by default until you restart the game or change it with Tab key.
