AMD FSR or AFMF? "Lossless Scaling"? Any Progress or tweaks in the community?
Just did a search through the discussions for "AMD" and the last discussion was from 2022 so I figure it might be time to raise this up again...

I love this game, bought it the night it came out in the states on steam lol...I swear it is still the game I never knew I wanted until this small dev team made it for us...but...I wish there was some better driver support or whatever for AMD in it...I'm trying to play a 250 hour unmodded build at 10-15 fps at best when I'm in my big stars and running 60+ when I'm on fresh planets. Even cutting resolution to 1080 down from 2k barely gets me to 10fps in my heavier production planets/stars. I mean...my computer isn't top end but a 6 core/12 thread with 32gb DDR5 system memory on SSD and a videocard with 8GB of DDR6 vram ought to be holding its own at 1080 if nothing else these days...It might be time for some optimization work?

I heard there's some third party scaling option called "Lossless Scaling" similar to FSR and DLSS out on steam for purchase...has anyone tried that with Dyson Sphere Program? It sounds like a third party deal meant to work with everything but I'm a bit short these days on currency and haven't bothered to check into it personally...

I'm guessing FSR doesn't work because it isn't rendering fullscreen native...I haven't really looked into what the engine is doing to be honest...unity borderless? dunno...

I know development is tough, I haven't touched code in 15 years myself and I'm way out of the loop, I'm not here to trash on the game etc cuz I'll play at 640*480 if I have to I swear XD...just checking if anyone has found some tweaks or if the devs are considering any action on boosting playability with larger builds is all I suppose...

Anyways...big respect to the youthcat team for sticking with us through all this time, I'm always having a blast a couple times a week rolling around in my gundam mecha looking like Gundam Wing Zero building planet and star factories XD

You can give Lossless Scaling a try, but it's probably not going to be great. Frame generation becomes unpleasant to use when the incoming framerate drops below 30 fps.

Build fewer things on a planet so that your performance doesn't crater too badly. I only build 120/min white science per planet and that stays pretty reasonable. Otherwise, wait for the game to be released, since doing a major optimization pass is something that happens last in the release process.

Try ups balance at top left corner. I spend 2000+ hours here. I lock fps min 30 max 60 from driver panel and play at 1080p. My last save after DF I expand a lot of planets. Not build mega in one planet. Now I have 16+ sphere and nearly 500K hash/s white cube. But I got bored to continue.
I have old outdated 8Gb rx580 gpu, 5700x 8/16 core cpu, 32Gb ram and old 128Gb pcie 3 nvme. My save 1Gb around.
