The game's UI, and entire gameplay are meant to be used with a KB/mouse. I've tried the game on my steam deck, and it took FOREVER to do anything.
The store page for DSP lists the deck compatibility says that some text will be extremely difficult to read on a SD. The SD runs at 720p with a small screen. This game wasn't designed with any sort of SD compatibility in mind.
I don't know of any solution other that changing the UI slider in game play, and drop it all the way down to 900. That may help you a bit.
Which is odd since Steamdeck is linux based and should have no issues with .txt files. Could be weird encoding I suppose or a corrupt blueprint, I'll test some known good ones on my deck.
Edit: Seems to work just fine, where are you putting the blueprint files? They won't work if just placed into 'documents' they have to go into the fake cdrive that is created for the game.
Path should be /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1366540/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/Dyson Sphere Program/Blueprint/
You can also create a small blueprint in game and then hit the button to view in explorer which will open a window to that path and then you can drop in other blueprints.
