Screen flickering
Hello,
Lately I've had an issue where suddenly the screen starts to flicker. It's subtle like the backlighting is dimming very quickly, but still obvious enough to be very annoying. The flicker rate is multiple times per second and once it starts it doesn't stop.

I have noticed it starts when I'm paused (on the esc menu) when on a bright planet like the starter world, haven't noticed how long of a duration before it starts, but I'd guess about 5-10min of being on that pause screen. Also if fly into space it stops or is not noticeable but comes back/is noticeable when back on a bright planet. As well if I'm on a darker planet like lava or some of the barren types, it also stops.

I've tried closing out to the main menu and nothing, but do notice the flicker quite obviously on the load screens. I've tried closing down the game and it comes back. I've tried going through the video settings and adjusting things there one by one. The things that seem to work are a full system restart or shutting down the game and waiting for awhile which kind of suggests it's more a gpu and heating problem. I've not had this issue with any other game and not with DSP before about 3 weeks ago. I played a dark fog normal run through after it came out and now on a highest difficulty run where this has now started.

I have a stream deck where I have monitoring of heat and utilization, DSP does have very high, pretty consistent utilization of both CPU and GPU, temps in the high 80's C.

if you have adaptive sync enabled try to disable it. When the games fps drops below some threshold (47 maybe) adaptive sync changes screen's brightness (maybe its disabling and enabling, not sure). Most likely problem is not with game, didnt see that once.
And you told about loading screens, yea, adaptive sync goes mad in loading screens

So far that seems to have done the trick. Thank you!
