Stage 1: Send a communicator and/or Hive core to a star system that doesn't have one.
Stage 2: Start sending relays and heavy barges to the planets in the system to obtain mass.
Stage 3: Use the mass gathered by the relays to expand planetary bases and the hive node.
Stage 4: Exterminate any threat in the system.
Stage 5: Construct a new hive seed to send to another star system.
Found this little gem.. hold them at bay for a while whilst you build up your forces!
On Standard settings the Dark Fog arent even a threat. Not even on your starting planet.
So far it's fairly simple to kill. The whack a mole thing on other planets makes me think you should avoid even taking out their bases. Just surround them with defense lines and leave them alone. Clear them out on your home planet for sure. I have yet to see them attempt to land a new module on my homeworld. I was wondering if this is normal??
