Use the Signal Tower + Missile turret combo.
Like the title says, use the damn signal tower people... Not only does it aggro enemies to it instead of having them spread out all over the place, but it also links itself to EVERY missile turret ON THE PLANET, giving the missile turrets planetary range to fire at the enemy units from the opposite side of the planet if they get close to the signal tower.

Literally just put down some missile towers in your base by the ammo production, slap down a signal tower and a battlefield analyses station near the enemy base, or someplace you want to deal with enemies at, and you're golden. Bonus points if you make a mob farm.

thing is I dont think we can get anything by exuming the dead enemy bots. like alien tech points ... plzzz this is probly a no brainer and I will be playin it today and I doubt exotic tech is available ... you shuld be able to defeat aliens with their own tech hands down.

Battlefield Analysis Base is exactly what you want. It will repair / pickup stuff

Enemy units drop semi-random resources when they die, including a brand new fuel type you can only get from killing them that increases your mech's personal fabricator.
You just need a battlefield analyzer to pick the stuff up automatically, otherwise you pick it up in combat mode by left clicking it.

And I think someone mentioned that the enemies drop more and better stuff the higher their level goes.

The first several waves, at least in my limited experience, drop "soil pile" which can be useful should you want to pave over your starting planet with concrete. It is easy to miss that they drop that resource as it does not actually appear in your inventory -- only indication is the +xxx soil pile pop-up messages at the bottom right-hand side of the screen. It does briefly appear on the ground but is quickly gathered should Icarus ever come within range unlike other resources which have to be actively recycled or destroyed.

I read from someone else that the Dark Fog, at/above level 6 waves or so, started dropping Silicon Ore (which the starter planet never has) - and although I don't know the level for this specifically, a special fuel that can boost Icarus's replicator speed.

Then from another, at somewhere among the highest levels, the Dark Fog drop some sort of material that's needed for a 3x speed Smelter, Assembler, and so forth

can confirm at level 6 you get silicon ingots... and i dont know the level titanium ingots drop, but its around the same time as silicon.

farming the first dark fog right now... its almost level 9

Noticed the soil pile being awarded and it seems to come from the ground flattening as fog units die
