Keep in mind however the fog will react to Your actions and may become dangerous in the long run. While with default settings it's possible it will not hinder You too much from completing the game, it might hinder You a bit in the long-term large scale expansion if You wish to try to push Your limits.
You will always be able to outpace it technology wise, you can easily automate turret and ammo production with a very simple and small belt setup.
But given the shape of the maps you play on and the way you control your Main character. It is really hard to make the proper combat system that would feel natural. It is nor a strategy nor action.
I would like to give it another go with passive Fog, but i am fed with laying out those covnerter noodles.
And that's okay; the system has plenty of potential, and there's plenty of time for both sides to work out the kinks :P
