About the new English voice over.

Yes, it wasn't perfect but the new one is just bland. No flavour. Some AAA studios nowadays seem to try to get non-native speakers (or speakers of local dialects) for their voice overs when they can, specifically for that reason.
Actually the old one, that I suspect is not native, kind of had "some" charm due to his flaws. :3
Like a nerd reading a script the best he could.
Given that I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), that most of us customers are also nerds, given the type of game this is, I thought it was appropriate too.

P.S.: I don't mean nerd as an insult here, just someone that is fascinated by technical stuff, to some extent.


Speaking of voice: is it possible to get the Chinese voice over (not the text, just the voice)?
This second point, is definitely NOT something I expect but thought would be nice.

I thought it was off and bland myself. But i won't hear from it much anyways. kind of a strange thing to change if you ask me. Also the first one kind of had more of an AI sound to it which went well. Now its some guy that sounds more artificial than an AI lol

As I heard from a german youtuber, the new one is not human but an AI.

IDK if this is true, but a possibility.

Sounds like the same guy to me but he's just changed the tone of his voice or his voice wasn't cleaned up in post production of the Audio.

Yes! The previous voice acting fit the game much more. I thought something is off when I started the new patch, but after he said "Turret" as "Tourette" I realized that there is a change and really don't like it.

The 'new' one sounds to me like the old voice actor's voice but put into text to speech. Please hire a voice actors or, you know, keep the one you had? There is no way this isn't just actual AI. And before someone talks bs, no it doesn't fit the game and beside it sounding bad it hurts actual voice actors. Just hire a voice actor.

I'd honestly just have no voice whatsoever rather than AI.
