Planetary defense against DF Relay Stations
How can I shut down the Relay Stations before they land on a planet? I read about rings of Missile Turrets in the Polar Rings with the Space option in high priority and a Signal Tower in each pole, but I tried it and don't work, the Relay Stations still lands.

Is there something I'm overlooking? Someone can share screenshoots or BP? I have 66 turrets in each pole and the Signal Towers, maybe they are not enough?

Try enabling "upper air (relay station)" as the missile turret target option.

But that will raise the Hive threat, I want to shoot them down before they settling down on the planet, and the Upper Air range of Missiles are less than the Space range, no?

Have you been researching the damage upgrade techs (bottom of the upgrade screen), there is one specifically for explosive damage. Since those techs start at +10% for Red/Blue, +20% for yellow. Which means once you finish the yellow tech, missiles will have a +40% damage bonus.

Enabling upper air is more to finish them off once they are over the planet, yes you will get some hive threat.

You set to upper air not space. Make sure there’s no active relays on the planet though

This will shoot down the ship that has the relay before it seploys
