space hive destroyed, relay stations invulnerable and keep redeploying
i destroy the planetaries and they leave to go park where the hive used to be, then redeploy, so the system CANNOT be cleared, is this a bug or am i just doing it wrong

it's an odd one... myself I had to destroy every last piece of the hive before its icon vanished in space. I also found a system with 2 hives. But if you can't plug the hole for the relay after destroying it then it sounds very much like a bug.

Relays shouldn't be invulnerable, but they have a tremendously high regeneration rate and their hitpoints / regen rate scale with hive level.

You should still be able to take them down by activating the "Supernova" skill on 20+ rocket turrets simultanously.

And do NOT fill in the holes. Relays only ever go back when you do that, they stay as long as the hole is there.

they got back to the hive and redeploy thats, what they do...

you can kill them with
missles - target upper air - default to off.
Corvetters, destroyers, - deploy them while on the ground or near the planet
plasma cannons - target upper air - default to off

but unless your ready to defend a space attack with those above wepons you shouldnt do it as it will really annoy the hive.

Missles/plasma targeting space can destroy relays before they land if they are in sensor range and you have enough of them without the hive being as upset.

the system will not be fully clear untill you take the space hive down. And that can respawn if a new seed enters the system.

ohhhh i see, the space fleet has to be deployed manually when all that's left are the relays, weird we cant shoot them with mecha while they're in space

this is also a big issue I'm having the fleets will not even deploy when next to the relay stations after destroying the hive, please help as this is ruining my game

Fixed the issued, I was able to manually deploy the fleets and take out the relays by pushing the all fleets tab as a button after pressing Z for manual combat

Errr depend what you want to Attack but killing big developped Hives may need some time & Research for Space Fleets for now (until futur patch with space stations).

BUT YOU CAN KILL Relay Station lol ! But not alone...
Setup HIGH AIR priority on Missile Turret and they ll fire them !
You can also in your SPACE FLEET OPTIONS tick the "kill relay stations" then they will shoot them from Space :)

Best is to kill Relays to have some peace where you need (it starve the hives, make them produce Relay slower), then later i ll prepare places for them to come & make them drop like some other people did ^^
Be prepared to have some Space Attack if you shoot relays. It's easy if you didnt put fog in hard & high % options.

i had to take back my Neutron Star from x15+ bases , i started to kill relays when i had 2 good space fleet, now the 2 hives let me alone for now (and missiles keep shooting them).

But im also playing Cities Skylines 2 :P

My fleet keeps ignoring relay stations despite me having put the mark in the checkbox.
unchecking and rechecking doesnt work.... even my mech laser doesnt shoot it.
Also it did attack like a few relay stations before and just stopped. Did i hit a secret hotkey that ignores the checkmark in the fleet gui?

Weird - I've never had a problem using manual targeting to have Icarus walk near a Relay Station over a base and engage it. Though, now that I think about it, I can only recall doing this while I had missiles loaded into his magazines - so I'm not sure if I've tried it with just the mech laser.

Also never seen the fleet fail to attack them - at least not once I figured out how to manually launch the space fleet while I'm on, or near, a planet.

Fleet is default to ignore relay station. U need to click it a box to turn it on.
I usually just land look at relay station. Select 1 space fleet click at relay station and game over.

Had this just happen, i was in space and destroyed the hive but a few relay stations wouldnt blow up, they just healed. I toggled destroy relay and my ships took care of them in a second.

The only time I've ever wiped a hive and it didn't have "Core Destroyed" state was when their hive orbit naturally passed along my planetary orbit with a ton of missiles aiming balanced.

It's an odd one. If you clear a hive in space with a fleet the hive just says "Core Destroyed" but you can for sure destroy a hive so it's gone and it's "game over" for that hive. It's just not very intuitive how to do it and I still don't really understand how I did it.

The other two hives that don't pass through the orbit of my planets I still have to go and clear out on a regular basis.

And yes, I also have my fleets "attack relays" ticked, have from the start.
