Planetary Logistics Filters
So far, this is the single most annoying item I have encountered in this game. Which is odd because the UI is otherwise very well designed.

Is there an easy way to mouse-over some magical part of the Logistics Station to get the filter options for input/output to RELIABLY appear for editing?

Generally mousing over the shaft of the tower, a bit above the belt ports will cause the filter icon to appear. This does mean you need your camera angle low enough to really see the height of the tower, trying to activate them from above works poorly.

However, be aware that if you have tall buildings near the tower then if the camera clips through their 'hit box' the filter selection will not appear. In that scenario you may need to play with the camera angle to find an unobstructed view of the target area of the tower.

(Or you can always just delete the belt any run it again to get the new output filter popup)

Yeah, it's just bad. Once you set the filter, try mousing over the base again to reset the filter to something else. I think once you set it, your only recourse is to delete the belt and start over. Which is a bit clunky.

Unless I've got a tall building in the way I don't have any trouble bringing up the filter selection. You need to know where to mouse over -- it's not right at the base; it's more like 1/3 to 1/2 the way up the tower's stalk. But just slowly waving the mouse up the stalk should reliably cause it to appear.

But yeah, if you've got another building crammed in close it's a total pain to get at the filter selections.

Meh, it's a nit on an otherwise nearly flawless game interface. Hard to complain about it too much.

This is extremely bad, why not add a filter button to the popup or something, definitely needs attention

You may already be aware of this, but pressing tab while building an output belt cycles through the contained items. I very rarely use the filter button on towers (partly because it's so annoying to use).

I did discover it; admittedly, after I first posted this. However, it's still a pail to change the filters. Sometimes I resort to deleting the belt to rebuild it and get that option.
