The T2 and T3 buildings are distinct colors green and blue but I can see how they might be mistaken while zoomed out. Maybe a reddish color would have been better for T3. I don't think there's any mods out to change their colors currently.
If you have problems even zoomed in you might try adjusting your graphic cards color settings to increase the contrast and/or color intensity. Or even your monitor's settings, but those would change things for all your PC uses so you might just be stuck with it for now.
You can go into your Nvidia Control Panel and force a color correction override to help prevent this. There are also third party applications available to cater to different types of color blindness so it's not an issue in any programs or even the operating system itself.
I also can't make pictures in my "mind's eye." I legit thought everyone was saying that metaphorically, but apparently some people can just "see" things in their head when they try to picture them. Totally mystifying.
I didn't realize either of these things until my mid 40s. I still kind of think people are making this up, but that would be one hell of a conspiracy.

It's about distance (thus quantity; further = smaller) and the contrast of the surrounding colors that makes them difficult to see. Even in the game's broad daylight if you're far enough away and the surroundings don't give a distinct contrast as well you can overlook them. For example: look at just the thumbnail in my post above. If I don't focus and look for the difference between the middle and right assembler but instead just glance at their tops I can lose the difference as well. That blue ice in the background certainly doesn't help.
Wait until you read up about the ~20% of the population that can't hear their own voice in their head!
Yeah, I recently watched a video on a person with that, and it was super interesting to hear how she navigates her life. And she also got like 1600 on her SAT I think or something, so it's nothing to do with intelligence, just how our brains work differently. Wild.
