T2/ T3 appliance color change
Maybe it's just me, but I can't see much difference between the colors for T2 and T3 assemblers, inserters and belts. Is there some way to adjust the color on one or the other? A mod? A line of code? Some feature I am unaware of like the one for painting your mecha?

The T2 and T3 buildings are distinct colors green and blue but I can see how they might be mistaken while zoomed out. Maybe a reddish color would have been better for T3. I don't think there's any mods out to change their colors currently.

If you have problems even zoomed in you might try adjusting your graphic cards color settings to increase the contrast and/or color intensity. Or even your monitor's settings, but those would change things for all your PC uses so you might just be stuck with it for now.

Any chance you may have an undiagnosed form of color blindness? I know certain shades of blue and green are very common issues for people with that condition. I can see how T2 and T3 could be indistinguishable with certain types of color blindness, but I myself have never had the issue personally.

You can go into your Nvidia Control Panel and force a color correction override to help prevent this. There are also third party applications available to cater to different types of color blindness so it's not an issue in any programs or even the operating system itself.

There isn't that much of a contrast between T2 and T3. If you add in lighting effects, various biomes, or zoom out and try looking at a glance, then yeah. It takes a good amount of effort to tell them apart. A bit more contrast wouldn't hurt.

fwiw I also have a hard time differentiating t2 and t3 assemblers and belts, particularly on the dark side of planets. But it's not that big of a deal for me because I just stop using t2 at a certain point except to make t3. I also probably have slight color blindness when differentiating very dark greens//blue + gray/browns, as my wife and kid think is hilarious to point out. I have a coat that looks legit wet bark brown to me but everyone swears is like mossy dirty green, and I just can't see it at all. I have so many shirts and shorts that look like confederate gray to me but everyone tells me is blue.

I also can't make pictures in my "mind's eye." I legit thought everyone was saying that metaphorically, but apparently some people can just "see" things in their head when they try to picture them. Totally mystifying.

I didn't realize either of these things until my mid 40s. I still kind of think people are making this up, but that would be one hell of a conspiracy.

It's pretty common and everyone's eyes can be tricked in the right situation. I'm sure you've seen the checkers illusion right? Both the A and B block are the same exact shade of grey in this image:

It's about distance (thus quantity; further = smaller) and the contrast of the surrounding colors that makes them difficult to see. Even in the game's broad daylight if you're far enough away and the surroundings don't give a distinct contrast as well you can overlook them. For example: look at just the thumbnail in my post above. If I don't focus and look for the difference between the middle and right assembler but instead just glance at their tops I can lose the difference as well. That blue ice in the background certainly doesn't help.

Wait until you read up about the ~20% of the population that can't hear their own voice in their head!

Yeah, I recently watched a video on a person with that, and it was super interesting to hear how she navigates her life. And she also got like 1600 on her SAT I think or something, so it's nothing to do with intelligence, just how our brains work differently. Wild.
