Bigger Planets?
Good morning/afternoon/evening Everyone!

This game has been one of the most satisfying games and one of the most entertaining games that I've ever played, everything in this game is nothing less than perfect, the progression, art style, and the general idea of it is incredible, However I feel like the planets in this game are too small for us to be able to ponder at, I've discovered wonderful planets and I hope that they will add more types of planets in the future, but the fact that planets are small and the distances are relatively small as well somehow holds back the adventurous factor of the game, what I mean is that the bigger the planets the more we want to discover them and wonder at their beauty, not only that but we would have more space to build and perhaps decorate and arrange our automation-s without worrying about running out of space, I know this would probably cause a challenge to overcome such as interstellar travel or even transporting goods and moving in the planet itself, but there are always solutions to every problem (maybe).

I would end this in a classic conclusion but this is more of a question or a request really, and I hope that this message/discussion reaches one of the creative developers of this game. Have a nice day.

It has reach the creative modders, check out the GS2 mod (Galactic Scale 2) and you can configure bigger planets and distances.

I agree....various size, but also topography....the planets are all so flat....where are the mountains? What about weather, etc.... I think there is still lots of room for improvement in these areas.

Indeed, Makes a lot of sense, Good point.

Galactic Scale is awesome if you set it up right, but takes a lot of tinkering with.

It does indeed give the sense of scale you're looking for, along with other things too - planets can have moons, and the distribution of planets is far more varied than with vanilla DSP. Systems can also be much bigger (256 stars?).

Where are the mods for this game? I know the Steam Workshop is usually the go to place but this game doesn't seem to have one?

Given the premise of the game, I wouldn't want mountains. More work, not enough building.

Yes, we want real planets, not these fake spheres 😉.

I meant that as a sarcastic flat earth joke, and also, it sucks seeing the curvature of the planet while zoomed out. It feels silly. If the planet is so small that i can see an entire hemisphere in its entierty it should be a lifeless asteroid (which they should have btw).

Like if this game can improve the "immersion" of the planets a bit, it would go a long way. I want it to feel like im on a planet. The size of the worlds you start on are comically small. There are no features on the planets, and would be too small to support mountain ranges and features. Even if they had large dead spaces with no resources, at least I would feel like im exploring a planet.
