MK.1 Assembling Machines produce at 0.75 efficiency
After pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my speeds and feeds weren't running at the rate I expected, I finally found references in the forum to MK.1 Assembling Machines only running at 0.75 efficiency.... and that was why my math wasn't working out.

Is there any where in the game it states that a MK1 assembler runs at 3/4 efficiency? Is this something I should have known? Where did I miss this vital piece of clarity?

It says it right on the Assembler Tooltip.

Ah, I missed it. Need new glasses... Thx

Edit: Sure does.... went back and looked and sure enough, it says "Production Speed 0.75x"

That's really the DSP equivalent of debuging your code for 4h, just to find the missing ";" x)

Jan 2022 relatively new player here, and the assembler was driving me bat (sh!t) crazy understanding why some things were 75%, completely did not see the the note about it being in the tooltip until I read this thread and see that reply. That makes better sense and will help when I try to balance some of these lines. THANK YOU!

I mentioned this on another thread, but it's worthwhile here too I think, it can be easier to treat them as though they were 100% speed, for example you've got MK2 belts so 12 a second and you decide you want 12 circuit boards a second.

I would build this with 12 iron ingots a second and 6 copper ingots a second in, but I would build 12 assemblers not 16. So my actual output would only be 9 per second.

However when I unlock MK2 assemblers and build a few I can then just upgrade the assemblers and it's all working perfectly.

If I had built 16 and wanted to upgrade I'd need to fart about with belts or deleting stuff or w/e.

obviously this doesn't help so much if you build such that you're consuming 12 circuit boards a second, but you get the idea.
