Changing belt direction
I thought a long time ago it was said we would be given a way to change the direction of our belts. Was that ever implemented and I just can't find it? I have seen other enhancements that I thought were mentioned at the same time added earlier this year. Or, am I just remembering wrong? Which could be... but I just dismembered getting excited to hear that this feature would be added as I tend to start int he wrong spot a lot.

I remember it being requested before. If nothing else, I wouldn't mind being able to manually change the direction by laying East-to-West belts on top of West-to-East belts and have the existing items on the belt now go the other direction.

There is a mod to do this, it isn't native in game yet

I haven't figured out mods yet or where to even get them. I guess I should google that and see,

The easiest way is just to shift-delete it so you take out the whole thing and then just re-lay it.

that is what I do, but sometimes when I'm running a belt line along the equator as I've been playing with main bus designs, I may go a long ways or run quite a few lines before I realize that I just did a dumb move... then I have to go back and undo a lot of belts.

Just started playing again recently and only just remembered the whole shift-click-repeat a setup for a machine/sorter/belt layout. I want a count of how many sorters I've placed by hand.

I think I missed that one. But, I'm sure I've missed a lot of things that would make my life easier in the game. Which is why I wasn't sure if the belt direction changing thing might had slipped past me.

To use mods you need to use their mod manager which is called 'rmodman'. Once you have that installed it offers you buttons to start modded or vanilla. It also will show you the mods you have installed, whether they are active or disabled, and offer you a 'go online to look' button so you can browse the mod catalog

This is now a feature in game. Click on a belt, press Reverse Path button.

Tell me you haven't read the thread without telling me you haven't read the thread :D

That nice feature was added to the game 18 months ago - as the most recent two posts immediately above your belatedly point out.
