I have the same problem: how am I supposed to read this text? I feel like I need glasses inside my computer screen.

Edit: My response is geared towards ZeroFarad btw
Edit 2: Lmao I play on a 32" Samsung Odyssey G7 (the OG edition, 240 Hz 1440p)

And it's still small as ♥♥♥♥ on 1440p

There already is a UI scaling option called "UI layout reference height", albeit, it could be a lot better than what it is:

I recommend you do NOT set the setting to your actual resolution height. It's atrocious. I game at 2560x1440 but the game expects me to have perfect 20/20 vision and read 5 pixel high text (exaggeration). I find the 1080 option is perfect for me. Keep in mind this will limit the available interface element space you have, for the menus such as your inventory or mech fuel interface.

If you game at 1080p try setting the slider all the way to the left, so it reads 900.. and if you game at 4K oh my god do not set the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to 2160 I don't know if the developers even have a 4K or even 2K screen but it's clearly not been play tested to be efficient and enjoyable. It's still early access though BTW

It depends on the size of your monitor/screen. The 2160 option is fine at 4k if your screen is big enough I have a 48 inch 4k TV for a monitor (LG CX). i suspect the devs may have exclusively been using large screens. I don't think the game is well optimised for 24 inch etc screens, hopefully that will change.

I play at 1080 on a 27" screen. Sit with my face about about 30-36" from the screen and the text is perfect.

Conclusion, it is not so much the resolution but the pixel size that makes the text too small. And because they have tied the GUI scaling to resolution it is not always perfect. It would be better if they had chosen a +-percentage setting for text.

Thank you! This really helps. It's still not as clear as I'd like, but it's readable now!

I'd looked for a setting under Graphics, but I didn't think to look under Gameplay.

If you play on a regular monitor it's fine. I think maybe the people having issues are playing on notebooks with tiny screens.

This display has a 26'' diagonal. I could fit my laptop into it twice with room to spare. It is not a tiny notebook screen.

FYI I play on a 32 inch Samsung Odyssey G7, 1440p 240 Hz. The text is small as hell. I believe the game should have a text height adjustment slider or something. Like 12 pt, 14 pt, 16 pt. etc. something to make the text bigger because that's the only issue I have is being able to read the text.
