This game looks really good but without a multiplayer i feel it wont compete with similar games...
Now i understand multiplayer has not been ruled out but it really needs to remain on the cards because the multiplayer aspect of production lines can increase the longevity of these types of games.

Just look at the current market of said games with multiplayer they tend to be more popular then none multiplayer and quite honestly a game like this could do very well with multiplayer specially if both players start on there own planets and race to create the dyson sphere.

They're not more popular, pvpers and tryhards always end up converging on the same 10 games (which brings a bunch of hackers in the top 5 of these games), solo players play hundreds of games, look at the stats, there's a huge contrast between both, sp games are spread out depending on your interests, if they add mp they won't sell more copies because of it.

100% Disagree, I know im not the only person that loves to play these type of games with my friends and some of them wont even get this type of game without multiplayer. Thats part of what makes games like satisfactory and factorio so much fun

Yep i am the same as rayman4009.

Right now this game is outperforming Empyrion Galactic Survival, Space Engineers and Factorio. Those games have Co-Op yet more people are playing this game over those other games. People here are drawn to the challenges of the game. Private Co-Op games may increase sales and I don't think it's been ruled out but it's not a priority at the moment.

If you're fence sitting on wether or not to buy this game. Just buy it. It'll prob have multiplayer by the time you finish your first Dyson Sphere. lol. xD

Waiting for Co-op, I would like to play it, but I rather continue to play Factorio and other games with friends on our server.

I swear the youngsters being taught to hive-mind everything can't function on their own anymore, even when gaming, haha.

But seriously - the game will likely end up with multiplayer but much like Factorio its more important to get a good game first, then figured out the complex changes that'd be needed let you guys team up to play this solo game together later.

Not even sure they know what a term like "hive-mind" really means but yeah, can't agree more. Plus the fact they live in a world, where everything has to be instant, in a snap of a finger, because tomorrow might already be too late for them

This game needs more polishing on fundamental level. At the moment even the tech tree is not fully implemented yet, let alone the ability to change the keybinds. Not that it's of any problem to me, just saying the facts. Developers know very well which aspects of the game they have to polish and/or still implement in and rest assured, multiplayer definetly is planned for future releases, if all goes well. That's at least my view on the things

You can't push for multiplayer in that stage unfortunately. Just learn to be patient

I think this game still works very well even with just single player just like the other games of this type do, although I think this one could definitely have a huge benefit from some multiplayer (with friends) where having multiple people would have more of a benefit than it does in the other games, primarily due to the planets and star systems this game has going on.
TURTLEBOMB Jan 25, 2021 @ 2:53am
While multiplayer would be cool and fun its not essential and the game is great without it. If you want a really fun multiplayer game that plays very similar to this id suggest getting planetary annihilation its incredibly fun.

Hate speech as a way to post unnecessary comments ... :steamfacepalm:

I just stated that there are other games that I would rather play because they already Have multiplayer, and I only voiced my opinion as there is no sign of this game getting one in FAQ.

And if you want to "slap" multiplayer later without thinking about it from start then it will probably have a lot of bugs for a long time.

I will probably play it one way or another, but I would already bought that game if there was a statement that MP is on roadmap but at later stages.

I already have few copies of both basic and Titans, we did play a lot, but looking for something new. But thanks for suggestion

disagree as well.
multiplayer is not all it's cracked up to be.
all you deal with is trolls and people who don't pay attention/listen and go do their own stuff which generally ends up screwing you over in some way.

Yeah but that is because its new and shiny this is a poor assessment of determining what is doing good and what is doing badly you need to wait till it has passed the freshness phase to determine it based on that factor.

Unfortunately you are wrong the thing is multiplayer must be done quite soon in development as this can cause issues on stability and balance if you knew anything about data transferring from 2 systems running in sync it can cause sync issues if you do not address it in a early state of the game and judging by a game like this multiplayer if not addressed soon will become a absolute pain to optimise with all the things happening simultaneously on say 2 or even more players playing the same game.

I have seen games where they slap the multiplayer at the end and it becomes unplayable due to sync issues and connectivity issues and if it some how does work it often has a huge number of unbalanced issues where glitches often happen such as the dreaded clone glitch that plagues most games that slap a multiplayer at the end of development where some games even went to such lengths to disable any form of trading from one player to another because of this glitch.
