This is what the energy exchanger is for. It takes your full accumulators and drains them dry. (essentailly a nice and looooong travels full of accumulator logistics.) Another way is by using your dyson sphere and getting energy that way.

The problem is - cargo ships dont load accumulators. Do I have to get significant amount? I have like 50 charged accumulators

Which ships? the ones that go around the planet or goes around the stars? I am checking right now and the one that goes around the stars DEFINITELY can (at least the filters say so.)

I'm still trying to figure out how the energy exchanger works. Do i leave them on idle?

it's meant for the building themselves of accumulators. They are very annoying logistics wise and is only recommended for super long distance travel. essentially what you have is a storage battery input and a storage battery output. you will need a long belt (or a big storage) if you want to use the energy exchanger. (usually having 2 different ones should work like one for draining full batteries and the other filling them up. And if there was more automation for this game then I feel like the energy exchange would make more sense.)

How many accumulators typically do your ship delivers?

Depends on how long of a distance you are traveling. usually having a full ship cargo is good for 1 light year. So 200/light year.

took me a while, but i think i understand how it works. the energy exchange does not transfer power on its own. basically all it does is charge/discharge batteries, but what you can do is put those batteries into a logistics node to send them to other planets that way. i don't really see a point to doing that, unless there are planets that don't have a viable power source (haven't left the starting system yet, very close), but even then i think sending deuterium rods is better.

There are such planets... found a planet that has three rare resources but no wind at all and only 46% solar panel efficiency. So to soak that planet dry I need to import some kind of power. But yeah probably easier with the deuterium.

It's more to increase "efficiency" in specializing planet. For instance you can turn a planet into a giant wind/solar farm, then ship the batteries to planets where you can't really afford the space to make a lot of energy.

I thought I explained it? But yes like I said that's what I believe as well is the point for them. the problem is that there is no way of stopping them from overflowing power is what I have noticed. You really need to be careful and need to think ahead of time of what you will be doing once you travel to different stars.

Yeah by the time you go to other stars you really should be mass producing buildings so you can just grab a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of them to just make a base instead of essentially starting again.

You didn't do that before on your starter solar system? I kind of expected you should've done that xD (not to mention bring tons of fuel to burn.)

I have my full accumulators in my interstellar transport tower whatsit, and they will not send to other planets. Seem to be having this problem myself, everything else is working fine

Did you do the supply and demand shtick?
