Organic crystals in a star?
In search for organic crystal veins, I only found they are in some stars but not on any planets in my galaxy. Probably I'm not just lucky but is there any way to collect resources like organic crystals from a star? I checked every planet in the system but I'm sure the organic crystals are only in the star. Is it a planned future enhancement that you collect resources from a star? Otherwise it doesn't make sense to see resources (especially rare ones) in a star in the Planet view.

they are on planet with life form and you can get it from tree

There are no such kind of planets in the system and definetely no trees. The Starmap indicates they are only in the star. How can I get them?

Star shows aggregate resources from the whole star system. Just for convenience. You can not get anything from the star directly.

You must have missed the planet
I promise you that there are never any resources directly on the star. Clicking on it tells you what is in the system.
Go the the starmap mode while in the system and check every planet including the ones orbiting gas giants. It will be there

OK, I get that star resources are the sum of the star system, but the thing is I couldn't find any planets in the system which show organic crystals in the Planet view. Say I see three orbits in the starmap then at most I can find three planets in the system (unless there are gas giants with satellites), right? Is there a possibility that there are hidden planets or satellites like dark matters? Well, I'll double check it with my game and see if I missed any.

They shouldn't be hidden.
You can tell by their names usually how many there are.
If you star "starname" V there are 5 planets in total fx.
There can even be two satellites.

1. sometimes they don't show up on the list right away. look for planets with names like "oceanic jungle" etc and just take a look at the planet even if what you're looking for does not appear on its list. There are usually many clusters of green crystals visible even without vein display.
2. perhaps you just overlooked one? count the orbits and those of satellites and make sure that you don't miss a single one, some can be quite stealthy.

Thanks guys. Yes, turned out you are right. It wasn’t visible remotely, but once you reach the star system you can see where it’s distributed in the starmap. I see there are a lot of organic crystals on planets of Red Stone and Oceanic Jungles types.

It seems to be a bug to me, as other rare resources can be still confirmed in the Planet view remotely. It’s only organic crystals that can’t be seen where they are distributed remotely.

Clicking on the star will show TOTAL resource stats for the system. If a resource is listed on a star system but can't be found on any planet, that's a bug.

You can develop your technology and find that you can travel among your galaxy. Then you can place the mine-collecter and your galaxy transporting station to use the resources from other planet.

You probably need to research some upgrades before you're able to see rare resources like that on the map without actually travelling there.

It is true that on your starter planet, within sight, there will be 6 nodes of copper and 6 nodes of steel, this is something the Devs changed because people had trouble finding them and gave up.
Something else, not sure when this was included, but on the starter world, that has the 'regular' green trees, you will see yellow trees also, HARVEST THE YELLOW ones! They often give an organic crystal as loot! :o)
Here is another useful tip, if you look closely you will see that some of the rocks have an odd shape, like a butte in the desert, sort of, hover on that and you will see that it is titanium crystals! Gather ALL of those rocks, will help get ready to leave the starter world looking for titanium nodes.
And silicon CAN be made from 10 rocks, isn't efficient but will work until you find a better source

While I am giving advice about this game I may as well include a few more:
"Fault Lines" are places on the map where the squares on each side of the line are different sizes. These places can cause a lot of trouble, buildings that wont connect to belts, or sorters, usually says something like the Angle is too great. These areas will always be troublesome, so best to avoid them. Do this and get 2 birds with 1 stone; build wind turbines along the fault line, since it doesn't need a belt or sorter the troublesome line is nullified. This works to outline the areas where you can build and also gives a lot of power. You can do this with solar panels also, but the sun only shines on half of it at once, the wind never sleeps.

Another tip; as soon as you can find some coal, manually mine a bunch to use for fuel in the Mech!

With the addition of the new planets, I suggest that you look closely at the terrain, and harvest some of it, watching to see what loot you get. :steamhappy:

Hey guys, the original problem has been resolved. As some guys said, the resources info at a star is indeed summary of the star system and I could actually find organic crystals on planets there.

What I missed was that where rare resources like organic crystals are located cannot be seen from a remote starmap. You need to fly into the star system to see which planets have them.

Talking about bug, now I think it's NOT a bug. That was my mistake. I mistakenly thought you could see other rare resources on a planet from a remote starmap, but you CAN NOT. By design or not, where rare resources are located is hidden until you reach a system.
