Threats? Disasters? Aliens?
So is this just about building and nothing more? Or is there some actual thought needed and planning for possibilities? I.E. planning for disasters, combat threats, incursions by aliens or other humans etc?

Yeah devs already announced there will be enemies. And most likely more stuff for endgame.

my mech can survive a collision with a neutron star or a black hole unharmed, I'm not too worried about anything else in the universe at this point.

I was more looking for something to do actually.. Right now it's kinda rinse and repeat build stuff an no real excitement or reason to do things

The game has been in Early Access for all of 6 weeks, and at this point is essentially just showing off the core gameplay loop in a sandbox. If you've already "beaten" it and are bored, maybe come back in six months or so and see what it looks like at that point.

Indeed. Some people really don't seem to understand early access games.

The number of people that whine on the Satisfactory and Valheim forums because they're bored of the game. Like... go play something else then? Check back on the game next year when it's had some more content updates.

LOL I can't believe some of the replies posted to my OP.. Are you people serious? For example: "Indeed. Some people really don't seem to understand early access games." Yes, EVISOD, I am referring to you... And a couple others above...

I asked the question BEFORE BUYING because I wanted to know what the basic plan was. I freaking KNOW it is early access and for the most part I stopped buying them.. In this case, I considered taking a chance on it but wanted to know if indeed, the plan is for enhancement of different areas...

AND my comment about being bored stands... It has NOTHING to do with being 'early access' and everything to do with my point that the game WILL NEED additional things to make it viable for a large crowd. PERIOD.

I swear some of you just sit around in hopes you can troll a comment and throw an insult here and there.. and what's worse, you ASSUME you have some clue who or what someone is or is not... If you want to troll, go to twitter or facebook ... That's more your style.

BTW, you do know you don't win the internet or win some prize because you think you made some comment that was 'cool' or somehow smarter than everyone else, right? Just thought I would point that out because clearly some people actually think there is some status they get when they make certain comments or troll someone else... LOL

do you like factory building games? if so, buy it. in its current state it will keep you busy for something around 100h (a bit more probably)

unless you watch letsplays and read guides and spoil the game for you, youll be challenged enough to get that sphere built in your first playthrough.

enemies are a planned feature.

also this is the internet, if you keep being so easily offended, even if its not even nearly as offending as you make it be, youre gonna have a hard time.

tbh the biggest challenge was figuring out how to make things work efficiently. I already understand how a dyson sphere would be built IRL, so I didn't have much trouble with the tech tree. But making purple matrices was a pain in the ass in my starter system. The oil nodes were 1.2-2.4 which meant it was difficult to make plastic, then I had to ship a bunch of resources between planets to satisfy the power and material needs of both, then I had to ship the purple matrices back to my research center, all at 15 fps because I was forced to use a ♥♥♥♥ ton of belts before I had better techs researched.

I'm hoping for some QOL improvements like more video settings. I don't need the game to look pretty, I need it to work better.
