might be tough to balance though, cause literally anything is better than the plastic -> organic crystal chain.
What is my incentive to use one of the most useless fuel sources, in the most important fuel slot in the game?
Are you denying that Trees and plants need a sink? What game have you been playing?
Also, interesting idea, people will object it is tedious, yes it is, if done manually (though it can its uses, I know I crafted at least 2k crystals that way). If it was a machine planting and harvesting it could be early/low tech and inefficient option compared to going via chem factories.
Turning trees into organic crystal is a completely bogus recipe and I wonder why it exists. The inputs are excessive, it can't be automated, and it doesn't solve any problems in base design. It's not useful for creating organic crystals and is mostly about being a dumpster for wood/leaves.
You build another fuel slot. To put it in terms of another game, Satisfactory. You got lots of wood products unused as you play. I dump em into a pair of containers, let it process and stock up. It sits in a container if I need to jumpstart something or forget about.
Sides, just build another burner :-)
I dump my plant matter into a container, it feeds to a power plant for a little boost to the system. Or can have it just process into crystal to suppliment that supply.
Game has sinks, if you choose to use it.
I wonder.... Are you serious? You waste one second picking that crap up?
Sure! The buildy game crafter in me must clear the build location before I construct! I mean... how can you not?
I take a building and flatten area over trees, rocks etc. Once I found out there was zero use for the crap, it seemed pointless to waste time picking them up.
There is zero incentive to ever pick up more than 60 wood.
Roleplay is the greatest reason!
Good argument. I am going to do the tedious task of picking up trash on an unfinished single player game. Just so I can say, well golly gee, I role payed the heck out of that mech.
Dude, puuuuuuulease.
How about, you just let the devs take this suggestion and see if they can work out a better use?
Well, it is a game. Devs can make anything in game for any reason, heck, they could use the leaves to output bio oil if they wanted.
Sides, it is a game. Nothing has a point.
So darn tootin will roleplay a single player game. Clearing the land to put down the factory. Just like all other meaningless game tasks!
