Game freezes image but can still move mech and hear sounds....
After 10 or so minutes the game will freeze on the last on screen image but yet i can still move (mech without seeing it) and hear the sounds but only way to fix is to ctrl-alt-delete and restart i have upgraded my video drivers and set my OC graphics card down some, only using reccommend graphics settings in game options and this still happens

anyone else experience this and have a fix?

Оr maybe the following reg fix helped me:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers] "TdrDelay"=dword:00000008
I've had this happen a couple of time. I turn off the game and restart it. You can load the last autosave as the game is still running, even when it locks up so it is still saving.
I have it problems, have a fix?
i7 6700K/32GB/1080TI (without any overcklocking)
only times i had problems was with afterburner OC once i turned it off game ran fine, so not sure what would be causing you issues, this is one of a few games i have ever bough in EA that had no issues or glitches at all

A long time ago, i had the exact same problem, turns out after a lot of research the fix for that was to keep "TechPowerUp GPU-Z" open in the background, this might help you but im not sure if it will still work, sorry you were unable to play dsp for such a long time!

This is for only the video stops or goes black and the sound and mouse still work.

There is usually 3 causes of this problem.

1 - Insufficient power to your video card. Some scenes will require an instant boost from the power supply to render properly depending on how much bells and whistles you have enabled. For full gaming experience, your normal power intake should be less than 10% just sitting idle of your total available power, and roughly 50% when running normal scenes in game. This leaves a reserve to draw from, during scenes with lots of rendering.

2 - Drivers are whacked/glitched. To be completely sure when you update drivers, you really should -
A - download new drivers or older drivers for testing to a known location on your ssd or hdd
B - Run a utility like DDU ( https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ ) to completely remove your old driver before installing a new one. This leave little room for glitches unless new driver is bad or bugged.
C - Run the new drivers install utility or app.

3 - Nearly all graphic cards today come with a factory preset overclock. Sometimes all it takes is to reduce the OC by a figure between 10 and 100 and your issue will be fixed. There are a known number of games and game engines known to have issues with OC on some cards. Mostly its some kind of syncing issue between hardware on your PC.
in this case, this wont help you
the problem here is not with the gpu itself, its something to do with the game and the gpu does not have anything to render

think i figured it out

i removed all overclock from my gpu and since have had no freeze in the last 2 hours of gameplay

sorry, my bad i didnt notice you already fixed it!
if you want to keep your gpu overclocked, you could try what i suggested and that might work
I was having this problem and I seem to have fixed it for me. I made two changes I don’t know what one it was. I changed my screen resolution from 2k to 4K and I turned off “Milky Way Activated”.
I have exactly the same issue on Ryzen 2700X and NVidia 1050 Ti. I also have the exactly same problem with Satisfactory. Game runs perfectly when out of focus (for example, if I Alt-Tab or press the Win key), but the moment I bring it into focus, it freezes (the sounds remain, though). Haven't found any solution yet.

Me too. Same problem.
Old post I know, but what fixed the issue for me was turning the planetary atmosphere blur off in the game's video settings. Turning off "render cloud particles" might work too. Haven't had issues since I turned those off! Hope this helps someone :)
