Power grid (Networks)
What makes a power grid go Network #2 (or more)? I understand that if you have for example 2 separate Networks on one planet, it goes #2.

But what if the whole power grid (Network) is connected to eachother on one planet, it still goes #2. Is it that some Tesla Towers are not connected, but for example Wind Turbines, so that it counts it as #2?

If so, how can you find the 'missing' Tesla Tower' that brakes the #1 Network?

Mine is at #4 and I have also no clue :(

Maybe they are clusterwide? But I have more than 4 Planets under energy.

I had it once go from #2 back to #1, but after extending and changing my buildings etc, it went back now to #2, so i think it has to do with the connections you make with the Tesla Towers. The thing i want to know is how to find the missing link in the chain.

Also, if there is a #2, there also should be a #1 somewhere (isolated) on the planet.

I have the explanations :
When you create a new network, it get an index. So let's say, you start the game and put 2 wind turbines far apart, the one got network index #1 and the second index #2. Let's say, you remove the turbine of the network #1. The network #1 doesn't exist anymore but it doesn't change index #2 to index #1. It still have the index assigned to the network at the moment of his creation.

You can check that by putting some tesla tower apart from each other. Check their indexes and then delete the one with the lower index and check that it doesn't change the index of the others.

Just to mention I've edited my post. I tested and it's how it works :D

I see. Hm... but is that how it's supposed to work?

My whole point of my question is basically that i want to make sure that all of my power generating buildings and network is connected to eachother and that there is no 'rogue' network somewhere providing it's own isolated power not to the main grid.

I told you how it works : indexes are created and when you remove a network it doesn't change the indexes of the remaining networks.
Your question "how it's supposed to work ?" is to be raised to the devs cause it's more your wish to find an information on which you can rely to know if there is some problem with your network(s)... In the current state, the index is only the index assigned when the network was created and not a clue to know that you've a network with lower index somewhere.

Thanks for the input. Hope this indeed reaches the DEV's. It would be nice to have an info stat or something on the different Networks in the future.

After playing a while, i noticed my whole Power Grid is back to Network #1 again. So somehow it reverted itself to #1, maybe because i indeed connected a 'rogue' part of the network without me knowing it or which one :D

Hopefully they'll add in the ability to create conditions. Much like 'circuits' from another factory game. Being able to rename things like power networks will help. Such as 'Backup Power Network 1' and then with conditions have it only run if network 1 can't maintain full power.
