Maybe they are clusterwide? But I have more than 4 Planets under energy.
Also, if there is a #2, there also should be a #1 somewhere (isolated) on the planet.
When you create a new network, it get an index. So let's say, you start the game and put 2 wind turbines far apart, the one got network index #1 and the second index #2. Let's say, you remove the turbine of the network #1. The network #1 doesn't exist anymore but it doesn't change index #2 to index #1. It still have the index assigned to the network at the moment of his creation.
You can check that by putting some tesla tower apart from each other. Check their indexes and then delete the one with the lower index and check that it doesn't change the index of the others.
My whole point of my question is basically that i want to make sure that all of my power generating buildings and network is connected to eachother and that there is no 'rogue' network somewhere providing it's own isolated power not to the main grid.
Your question "how it's supposed to work ?" is to be raised to the devs cause it's more your wish to find an information on which you can rely to know if there is some problem with your network(s)... In the current state, the index is only the index assigned when the network was created and not a clue to know that you've a network with lower index somewhere.
