Is there a way to disable the day / night cycle as on my pc I find it just too hard to see at night (in game).

Movement of astronomical objects which causes days and nights is core game mechanic, so no. Just adjust your brightness lol.

all the buildings should light up the ground at night like the mech does, imo..

Would be good if the mech had a torch or something :P

The mech does have a light. Tap H. Its one of the 6 settings in that menu.

I thought that might be the case - might just be more monitor - already pretty bright and just hard to get around at night. I hope someone mods this in time.

We are a mech, it would make sense to have a night vision mode.
And seeing how this is also an accessibility thing i'm all for it.
Everyone needs to work for the factory, it must grow.

Yes. Much needed. Even with my monitor turned up to 100% brightness I can barely see at night. And no, most buildings DO NOT have lights on them. I don't know why people keep saying that. The Mecha suit light is fine. We just need to be able to add powered lights, or else the buildings need to give off WAY more ambient light.

I just got into a system with a very good planet that's at the outer edge of the system with long day/night cycles and the star is a O type with little light. The night side is too dark for too long. Maybe they could add a floodlight building or something to lighten up large areas?

The game also doesn't have a brightness setting either and i don't really wanna play with my monitor settings for just one game.

We need floodlights. Similar to what you get at a footy stadium, or similar to street lights. They should be in the same category as Tesla towers etc, and they should consume a bit of power.

I found a nice mod that helps solve the problem till the devs add something.

https://dsp.thunderstore.io/package/AlphaDSPMod/SuperNightLight/

It basically turns the planet to daytime. It only adds light. Solar panels etc are unaffected and still need actual sunlight. It's easy to toggle on and off whenever you want it with ctrl+L

I find it easier to build at night. I can actually see the grid at night. Plus, it's not even that dark.

You guys using some sort of dark mode Monitor?
I can see perfectly fine at night
Trance Feb 24, 2021 @ 2:10am
Some planets are a lot darker than others. The starting system is perfectly fine, others not so much.
Its indeed too dark. Way too dark. Luckily there is a mod called SuperNightLight. But yesterday I had to play without it, cause the update broke it. My memories of 4 hours playing is a black shadow on the screen and my eyes hurting. Even youtube videos of this game are too annoying to see due to lack of light. Night time in Satisfactory is really pleasant. Never bothered me. Please copy Satisfactory light at night.
