What does this Down Arrow symbol mean?

It happens whether the miner is operating or not. And it is only on these two copper miners.

It's running out of resources and some of its resource points were depleted, "downgrading" its output accordingly.

I thought that might be it. Just a warning that a node was depleted.

So, if I don't want to see this warning, I need to dismantle the miner and place it again? That's inconvenient. There should be an "Acknowledged" button.

it'll go away on it's own eventually.

Ok. I am not sure the warning needs to be there at all, honestly. Since the ore is visible sticking up from the ground, it is quite obvious when the miner has depleted its nodes.

Since this game will take place across multiple planets, there should probably be a message board that provides these warnings. If I am close enough to see this symbol, I am close enough to see the nodes are gone!

You can disable Alerts symbol in the Overlay option at the bottom right of the screen.

It is a valuable information as a lower input could break the whole production line. That is why the game warn you so you can have enough time react in time and not have any issues.

In Settings/Gameplay, you can turn off individual warnings if you don't like/want them.
