W points to the center of the screen, A/D point to the left/right of the screen, Shift accelerates, S decelerates. Slowing down costs energy, there is no free "space parachute" to slow down.
For some reason, solar sail tech doesn't give Icarus any "solar sail wings" to provide power in space. Everything must come from the reactor core or by burning fuel.
