I made a Mod.
Using the UMF Framework (which you need to install) I made a mod for Dyson Sphere that's non-invasive and easily removable. No need for trainers.

It accomplishes many of the same tasks (as the trainers) and adds a new ability or two (like changing stack sizes).

NEW v1.14
!!!!!!!--> MAJOR CHANGE TO CONFIG <--!!!!!!!
You MUST double check your mod config settings as the config
version changed to accommodate new features!

New Features:
  • Infinite Soil : On/Off
  • SolarSailLifeTech : Multiplier to increase solar sail life
  • MaxMechaSailSpeedTech : Additional Speed (m/s) the mech should fly.
    With high values I HIGHLY Recommended Infinite Energy option as power draw goes up exponentially.
  • SailSpeedExtraTech : Added levels of Solar Sail Speed Tech (see above)
  • MechReplicateSpeedTech : Increase the crafting speed of the mech per research on top of Vanilla (0.5) values...

v1.13 Fixed an obvious bug with Hash value math. Sigh.

v1.12 Removed a library I don't need anymore.

v1.11 Fixes a bug with Infinite Research Hash Values when using Tech tree mod features.

v1.1 Adds new Tech Tree tweaks. Again, you can pick and choose anything you want to change, and how much to change it.

Enable what you want, change only those things you find frustrating, or go extreme and run so fast you enter orbit. Play it your way. I'm open to suggestions for future updates.

What I'm working on now is a Windows Program that will allow for quick Universe Generation and checking of seeds. It's in the early stages yet but should have something in a few days. Also working on a way to mod the base game in a way that might allow adding new things (like recipes, or tech levels). No idea who would be interested in these features, but I needed to brush up on my programming skills.

Cool idea. Can you maybe add a feature to quickly check seeds for (rare) ressources on the other planets in the system ?

Something I'm working on now is messing with the tech tree. It is possible to add tech... Though doing so will be much harder than it is in Factorio.

thanks for the mod but could you maybe add an instruction where and how to add mod files? I can't even find my mod folder, probably have to create one but don't know where. :(

You have to install the UModFramework, it creates the mod folder and manages everything, including updates to mods. The mod file goes in the mod folder it creates in the games install directory / umodframework

I've made a few mods using this for a few games and it works great.

I'm working on a system now that would, in theory, allow you to add things into the game. Just the beginning stuff right now as I learn things.
Going to use some of the data to create a Universe Seed checker, which I've already started.

Also put out version 1.1 of the mod, added Tech Tree research tweaks to the options.

It's already quite fast to do that with instant crafting and some other tweaks to rush in 5mins for the tech to see the veins on other planets. Only slowdown is that the setting for instant research doesn't seem to work.

That shouldn't say instant research, it should be 0 Energy Research. Tech Speed is something you can buff with the newest version as that is a researchable thing.

first of all - great job !
Have a question : as you say some variables saved at save file. so if i run different settings with your mod, build.research then in mod settings make everything like vanilla -> save it . uninstall mod. everything clear ?
just whant fresh restart but didnt whant have few first steps
Edit: Nope,after installing and using benefits player cant roll back all this cheats -(
instant mining.crafting and research are still exist

Yeah, those are saved with the save game for some reason. I don't know why the developers save those out when they could just iterate through the researches (that are also saved) and apply the settings at load.

I tried to revert the changes when the game is saved, but it slowed down the process which would be noticeable with large bases and with each autosave.
My first step was getting the mod to work :)
I do have a bugfix version coming that fixes an issue with the infinite research in the game.

Also noticed that some of the edits like stack size can only be set for a new game, can not modify the stack size of an existing game.
