Also, when placing a splitter, try using tab, there are 3 varieties of splitters.
This. If you route 3 in - 1 out, it becomes a merger, as long as youre using a t3 output to handle the high amount of resources
Can it only filter with the intend of outputting one direction, or can you make it output all three directions while one hole is it's input? For some reason I can only select ONE item to filter out, I can't add any other filtered options as hey get replaced by the current item tto be filtered out. Is this a bug, or is this a obvious thing it's meant to do?
Trying to understand this whole splitter. I thought you could put one belt into one port to make it a input. And then make the other free a output, to filter out specific items on the main belt.
So I take it I completely misunderstood on what the Splitter does? Again though, I can't really select multiple items, in the sense that I can't have iron output on one, and copper on the other.
... but i would advise against mixing belts, if one side backs up it will halt completely. you can do that in factorio where you can controll stuff with the circuit network, but even there its only something you do if you really want it, sperate belts are the more sane option.
Thing is it wouldn't let me choose anyway. I can only filter one path, so. Even if I had multiple contents, only one item will be filtered, as for some reason I cannot select the other two outputs to filer something.
play around with it. make a few storage crates and create a test enviroment.
Did you attach belts to all of the outputs already? (Its its anything like the logistic tower you need a belt going out from a port to be able to set a filter on it).
When I placed it down for the first time. I was able to filter all three exits. Now when I put it down again I can only choose ONE exit to filter.
At the moment none of the belts are connected to my warehouses, which have my resources in them.
I use it to filter hydrogen from the refinery output
