i want to get the idea they had in mind when they created the game.
I just checked. the first iron deposit I used is down to like 2 or 3 nodes but there are plenty elsewhere. I think the balance is pretty good and you do have infinite oil.
I do tho wish there was a creative mode to test setups in a temporary world.
show us on the doll where the space locust swarm touched you inappropriately :D
seriously tho, when I play factorio, I usually increase the density by a little bit but I HATE playing with infinite resources. I like to have to clean out an area and it sorta charges me to do something about the new area I can expand my factory to.
In here, I noticed that there's a way to hide resources or something using the platforms. sorta scared to try it tho. but I have some stone resources smack in the middle where I wanna place down my new factory and I am eyeing it for that.
Playing with infinite resources doesn't really change much. You're already going to be building on more than one planet.
The main reason I play with infinite is I don't like having a map/world/universe with a limited life due to resources.
Although, if a builder game offers a late game solution to resources (or can be modded to have such), such as deep veins or something like that, then I won't even consider making the resources infinite at start up.
...and put the resources to 0.5x.
Cause I'm awesome.
I'm sticking to infinite resources for now. Just because I don't want to rebuild a whole production site, when resources deplete.
