Making magnets

Can the assembly machines make magnets? The electromagnets can be made in the assembler machines but when I try to set the receipe the magnets are not listed, just the electromagnets. Right now I can only make the magnets in the mech, which does not help the automation.

Magnets are made in the smelter

apparently because it's a recipe using raw ore.

Furnaces make magnets at a rate of 0.67/second, or about 40/minute. They also consume iron ore at the same rate

Thanks for the quick response. I'm used to smelters only smelting iron into plates.
