No titanium ore
So I've reached the point in the game where all research requires yellow cubes. So I started preparing to set up a production line for them... only to realize there's only two planets in my planetary system and NEITHER of them have titanium ore veins, which makes it impossible to automate the yellow cube production process

Doing every bit of this by hand by just going around mining rocks and getting random titanium drops is not appealing. But neither is starting over from scratch on a new game that actually has the resources I need for basic game progression. Is there a debug mode or some way to work around this?

Still having a completely random start could be interesting.

Maybe you start in a super system, maybe you start in an impossible system. Then you gotta put the work into getting off the planet and rebasing to a new system.

Kind of reminds me of the Skyrim Alternate Start mod where you start bound, gagged and blindfolded and can be literally anywhere in the game. Death from wolves or bandits is at 98%. And you'll never see them coming.

They updated the map generator in the latest update and it seems it is broken, if it generates starting system without titanium.

So yeah I would say either restart or fly to the nearest star.

If you fly you can see how long that would take if you point at the star in the map mode. It usually takes 2-4 hours and you can just leave the game on and watch a movie. So it is not that bad if you fly.

That's all well and good for a single trip, but he can't keep on doing those 2-4 hour round trips until he can finally product warpers.

I think restarting is the only way here, unfortunately.

Your starting planet is orbiting a Gas Giant. Zoom out farther and you will see there's 2 more planets in your starting system.

Sheritan 1: is closest to the star and has Iron, Copper, Silicon, Stone and Coal.
Sheritan 2: is the next one out and has Iron, Copper, Titanium, Stone and Coal.
Sheritan 3: is the gas giant and has Hydrogen and Fire Ice.
Sheritan 4: is your starting planet which has Iron, Copper, Stone, Coal and Oil.

And this is the HUGE amount of titanium in the home system of cluster 00288441, with the multiplier only set to 1. 22 million titanium in your solar system.

The first string of numbers should be 8 numbers long. -64- is the amount of stars and -A30 is the resource multiplier. If your seed is 00288441 then you have 4 planets and your star is Piscis Austrini.

I looked at 28844164. Didn't consider leading zeroes.

The idea here is to do a one way trip to resettle. Basically get a bunch of miners, smelters, assemblers, belts and go. And rebuild from scratch. One way trip. :)

It will be faster than total restart. Since there are already a lot of structures and research done.

If you gather enough titanium from the rocks on your starter planet you should be able to research and build 2 ILS and 1 logistic vessel. Bring one ILS on your first trip together with enough miners, smelters (to reduced trips for vessels), belts and wind turbines (to power miners and smelters no need to power ILS). This way you only have to make one trip to get titanium shipping going. Downside you spend a long time gathering rocks on your starter planet, but I find that relaxing.

It would be faster just to continue playing. There is plenty of titanium in their home system

No planet in the starting system has all of the ingredients at once. You are meant to fly off world to collect titanium for yellow cubes.

Search your home system for a planet with titanium. Bring some base building supplies, fly over, and start mining. The planet should also have a coal node to help refuel. One or two trips of titanium will give enough yellow cubes to start up system wide logistics.

Yes but no, the ressource distribution in the base planet and solar system is too much linked with the "core" gameplay of the game.

There is absolutely no fun to have to fly 4 hour because the base solar system is missing one ressource.

Not even talking about missing the resources to get to space flight to begin with.

That will never happen. Even the OP's system has the resources he was complaining it did not have. And it will not take but a couple of minutes to fly to the planet within the solar system to get what is need.

We are talking about a non existing case that you could have a fully random starting planet here.
