- easy to install due to using a mod loader
- easy to maintain due to the mod loader handling updates
- always backup saves, not had a mod crash on me yet..
That's nice to hear! I will check the video out, thank you!
One - copyinserters was an amazing mod prior to May when it's functionality got rolled into the base game. It's now abandoned and unnecessary; so use the video as a tutorial for mods in general, but don't install that one. (But it was a lifesaver before then, and the only mod I actually used)
Two - crashes: I used copyinserters for quite a while and running a mod generally worked great - though I'm sure some mods are more buggy than others. I never had the game crash while running it, however game updates often broke the mod. The incompatibility between it and the newly updated game would cause internal game errors which would announce the error and that game saves were disabled due to it. (At that point you'd need to exit and relaunch the game without the mod; or else wait for the mod author to update it and relaunch the game with the updated mod)
Thank you for that warning/hint! :)
