no mecha game mode

has anyone proposed a game mode where there is no mecha:
- allows the player to focus on building and optimizing without worrying about managing the mecha or spending time managing its movements (and trying to not click on trees)
- a saved game can be "regular" or "this new mode" so that there is no temptation available in regular mode
- no construction drones, instant build
- no travel time to other planets or systems (for the player)
- merge planet view with more detailed view with zoom in as much as with mecha. Basically I want to rotate the ball freely with my mouse at whatever zoom factor and zoom in to do something
- related upgrades are removed or converted
- retain the replicator and inventory (of course)

I would really enjoy this mode because managing the mecha always feels like a tax I have to pay when what I really want to fully focus on is building configs, managing flows, etc. IOW, mecha only takes enjoyment away from the game for me

There's the God Mode option but even that involves dragging Icarus along for the building range. Sounds like you want a whole different game, though, because the Icarus is one of the core features and absolutely necessary for the initial steps of research without labs, mining without miners and production without assemblers, as well as what items are available in which places, because if you just go global inventory like Stellaris resources, then ILS just instantly lose their purposes - ectetc. Can't make DSP work without the bot.

Correct, besides, your in space, often without an atmosphere, how are you going to breathe or eat? The Mecha solves a lot of logistical problems with one convenient answer

Sounds like the sandbox mode many people have asked for. just in different terms lol

Totally agree on a sort of sandbox mode. Maybe with all the achievements and so, but without the mecha. I love this game, but the (annoying) movement of the mecha is starting to kill the fun big time for me. I just want to build stuff and not being distrated by some dude getting stuck behind a building or blocking my sight while building.
