Let me guess, hydrogen? For fluids there is a mod called SmartTank that just destroys what comes in when full. For solids I don't know of an automatic solution.

If its hydrogen, make Deterium out of it. You are gonna need a lot of it later on.

Someone made a smart way of Sucking up all the loose hydrogen from non gas giant locations. Hydrogen vaccum I think they called it.

There is also mods to vent overflow for liquids,(hydrogen included)

Don't do it! DON'T!!! Store it. You can make dozens or hundreds of tanks (not storage chests) to store the hydrogen. When you want to make your solar sails and other advanced products, you will use every bit of that hydrogen in a snap.

Same goes with graphene and all other products. I had a wall of chests storing graphene from my fire-ice production. I used it all without really even trying once I started a large dyson swarm project.

I thinks its part of a resource game to use resources reasonable (=not wasting them).

Agreed...I just build huge storage facilities, although my deut factories now have over a hundred linked Fractionators...

What I do is use a desert or ice planet and turn all the empty real estate into a massive industrial planet, covered with towers, ray receivers and that planet cranks out everything I need for all of my planets. All other worlds are just to supply that massive factory world.
My last two games had an unusual shortage of hydrogen so I have built hundreds of orbital collectors to gather hydrogen and fire ice..and deut...

When I have components stacking, I build factories to use them...and if supplies get low, I build factories to make them.

I keep my game running for days on end and building multiple spheres in multiple systems is easy, even at a casual pace.

I'm on my sixth game and I'm just going bigger each time, building larger production facilities and streamlining my collection and supply systems.

When I find a game as this one, I have to push all the envelopes.

Split it and burn the overflow in power plants

Voiding things should not be nessecary. I would rather look for the mistake in your factory that results in overproduction.

If you really want to destroy hydrogen, just dismantle the tank(s) and delete what spills out onto the planet surface. Then replace the tank(s).

when you're using a dozen or more planets things start getting hard to keep track of, and nobody wants to go back to the same planet all the time to delete a packed storage tank of gas just because it has stopped some other portion of your factories.... at least I sure don't lol

My problem is in the production of oil. Its the brown oil i have like 20 tanks of now. I have 10+ tanks of sulfur and 5 large chests of plastic as well on top of plenty of chests full of diamonds... Its kinda... imbalanced at the moment.

any tips to make it spend beside burning it as fuel in generators?

Question do you have access to fire ice and or duterium gas Giants?

If your referring to items in your inventory you can high lite it and use the Delete Key to drop it.

I got the fire ice so far, haven't moved out of the solar system yet, but been out and looking around.

Ok well once you are able to move out and planet down on a acid sea planet you will have a source of acid and then will be able to use oil just for plastic and then won't have a excess refined oil problem you will a problem with hydrogen, more specifically hydrogen backups problems to figure out.
