New update - now 'Milestones' are obscuring my screen

Just updated to the latest version - like I had a choice - and found a series of 'Milestones' have appeared on the screen obscuring the left hand side (as part of the updated Stats screen improvements). But there appears to be no way to get rid of it. Am I missing something obvious? Very annoying.

they will only appear one time each.
you can right-click each to make it disappear.
or left-click to open the milestone/achievement window.

Mine does the same, first the blue milestones and now orange achievements... the orange is a bit smaller but not enough to play comfortably.

You can click them away. I forget if it's left or right click on the mouse. (Edit: I see Calmputer posted moments ago with the additional details I didn't recall)

(I'm assuming the idea with that persistence is they know people leave the game running in the background idle and they want them to see the milestone or achievement has popped while they were away -- but it's pretty annoying today when the update that enabled them could triggers dozens all at once)

Had a weird glitch with the new milestones. On my first login I too had them blocking the left side of my screen and didn't know how to get rid of them. Didn't feel like dealing with it at the time, so I just exited without saving. Then I discovered this thread and figured I'd go back in and clear them. However, reloading my game, they didn't re-appear, instead they were already flagged as acknowledged. The really weird thing was that on my first load, where they did appear everything was blue for power, when I loaded the second time, everything was flashing orange. Here it changed one of my ILS bays supplying Full Accumulators to a bay that was now supplying empty accumulators. Now I have to go around to every ILS on every plant and make sure it is supplying the correct materials.
