How To Deal With Or Prevent Finger Blisters?
Blisters on my index fingers and thumbs get bad and I have a natural reaction to press Inputs hard on ps5 controller

EDIT: Finger Sleeves Can Work

I switched to hitbox, end of the story
and there's no controller that can let you feel comfy if you play without rest and non stop

take rest, and don't get addicted to games.

had problems with my left hand thumb from the motion inputs. Switched to a fighting stick. Problem solved.

ps5 dpad is horrible. Hitbox/Stick/another pad are all better options

You either keep playing and your skin will eventually adapt to it by forming "calluses". Or you invest in a fightstick or hitbox style controller. There are people that are very proficient with normal keyboards as well.

IMHO all button controllers and fightsticks are way more fun anyway.

Keep doing it until your skin grows stronger

Get a fight stick/hitbox

Sorta sucks, haha.

stick or hit box, used to play on an OG Dual Shock way back in the day via a converter and it shredded my fingers to the point I have perma callouses.

just get a hitbox . It will benefit your hand health in the long run

Change the gaming tool. I'm playing with DualSense, can't use d-pad for anything (using analog). Several days ago I injured my right thumb (can't move properly, and can't do any longer combos) and I have joint issue with my right thumb, plus heavy bruising (can't press buttons fast). Last week playing was quite an experience.

Would try out fightstick or hitbox before you buy them if able, there's also good 6 button fightpads out there if you want to keep using pad. The biggest thing you want to ask yourself is what feels comfortable to you

Years ago we built an arcade machine with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ suzo happ joysticks. They used to literally cause our fingers to bleed when we played street fighter 3.

We invested in some finger tape and it became a standing accessory attached to the setup. People would be wrapping they fingers thicker and thicker as the sets ran longer and the tissue damage deeper.

Boy were we stupid.

IDFK buy a hitbox or something.

never play a fighting game with a game pad, that's what will happen to your fingers. get a joystick, way more fun and actually feels like playing a game.

Just use Analog. No I'm not kidding, I use analog myself. It just take some practice to get used to. Later It is easier than I thought. Back there, I only have trouble is doing backdash or dashforward so I'm using D-pad for that. But now I can do BD or DF with analog

What's so bad about ps5 dpad? As far as standard controllers playstation has always had the best dpads. Is this a common complaint or is the person above just being weird?

I recently got a ps5 controller and it seems ok, but I guess it's a bit stiff and hard but will wear down eventually. I expect a box would be better but as far as normal controllers, this seems good.
