On the other side, considering how introverted Ryu is, this is probably the best conversation ender.
Guile: "Hey, nice shoes"
Ryu: "I took them from Akuma"
*Guile disappears over the horizon*
The man worked hard selling his fruit on the street to be able to afford those, and then this so-called "protagonist" just steals them.
#JusticeForAkuma
Lore wise Akuma is possibly the chillest dude in SF universe... Unless you are a strong fighter.
Like legit ripped his head off
Then Capcom could find a way to retcon Ryu's temporary lapse into the "satsui no hado" or whatever shoto ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is and make it not actually his fault so he can go back to being the generic karate gi good guy he was designed to be.
Ryu stays boring, Akuma becomes dead, 1 less shoto alive and Street Fighter benefits.
Yeah, those insufferable edgelord stand sellers... :D
Capcom: "Hey look, Ryu finally overcame the Satsui no Hado, the dark element of himself that had been tormenting him for years and years in this series."
The players: "Oh wow, that's awesome! How did he do it?"
Capcom: "Yeah, you WOULD like to know that, wouldn't you? But we're not telling you, now watch him one-shot Necalli and completely neuter him as any kind of threat."
Didn't Ryu's punch cure that stupid stutter?
Also, Necalli claims he wants to devour the strongest warriors, yet Oro is somewhere sleeping, looking like a trash bag, and Akuma is doing his best impression of a grumpy sunflower.
