Help greatly appreciated. Game was working, now it isn't. Error Code: 0x2000000

My game was running fine until Steam had that UI overhaul update, now it just crashes anytime I start to boot up the game. It doesn't make to anything, not any title screens or anything. Sometimes it gives me an error code, other times it gives me a crash report.

I've reinstalled steam, I've rolled back my PC to when the game was working, I've updated windows and all my GPU drivers, tried comparability options to make sure the game is in admin mode and that full screen thingy on the property list. Nothing works. I've even tried the video codec that the support post says to make sure you have, and everything.


Below are my error code, and what the crash report says. I would appreciate help on this so much. If anyone does help, thank you so so so so much and honestly just thank you for even reading this much. I just want to play the game again, and am at such a loss. Been trying to fix this since Wednesday, when it started.

I'm having a very similar experience, I see the warning about seizures, the capcom logo, then it hangs and I alt-tab to see it's filing a crash report. Worked fine until the UI update pushed through for me too, and I've played far too much to refund it even though it just flat out doesn't work anymore.

Error Code: 0x2000000
The only real difference is I'm on Windows 10 rather than 11

updated my graphics drivers, reinstalled them, and made sure windows was up to date, too

edit: Can add tried reinstalling steam to the list

I found out for me, it was a startup program. If you press ctrl+shift+esc, and then go down to "Start-Up" apps on the left hand side column, I just turned everything off, restarted my computer, and it suddenly worked.

I then slowly turned one thing on at a time until I found out what it was for me. For me personally it was an intel graphic startup conflicting with my dedicated GPU

sadly I didn't have an intel graphics thing my startup and nothing else changed it, I'm pretty much thinking I'll try and return the game or something at this point

This just worked for me for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess on Game Pass. tyty
