If I choose to restart World Tour mode....

Will I lose all of my avatar's progress? I'm talking about all the skills I unlocked, all the clothing items, talents, etc. I hope not, because I still would like to pop into the battlehub for an avatar battle now and again.

What I'm hoping will be restarted is simply just the story and master bond levels so I can try out different options when conversing with them.

Also please no spoilers, I'm still finishing the story. Just wanted to know this stuff for future reference.

Yeah, if you select the "start from beginning" option on the WT start screen, it is essentially just a full wipe, start over completely from the beginning. No option to keep multiple saves, either.

And I'm pretty sure the WT saves are server-side as well, so no chance of making a hard backup.

You could if you're willing to make a new steam account, and family share with it. Basically just gets treated as a console game profile more or less. Haven't done it yet myself, but definitely thinking about it!

Hope not a spoiler, but even after you beaten the big bad, your quest is not over even if the credits rolled, you still can train under your masters who you didn't finish things up with yet and maybe even find a few new faces. You still don't have the answer to strength just yet, so like Ryu, you still press onward. Be careful about revoking your work if you thought you hit the end...

if they were server-sided, they wouldn't be playable offline. Nah, it definitely is playable offline and syncs progress according to client.
