The one button super moves was a terrible mistake. The renaming of the control difficulty to appeal is a lie.
For SF, it's classic or nothing.
I don't see why its harder for players to learn playing classic than before. I mean sure you get instant buttons for moves that require some practice or alot of practice to use in certain ways, bypassing the whole muscle memory process. But it also makes the game offer more to the types of players that would be typically filtered by normal fighting game controls, and lets them enjoy the game a bit more probably (players with disabilities also included in that category).
Yes, i know brolylegs exists and hes a legend but not all disabled gamers are like him.
In the short term, Modern players may seem to have the upper hand, but you're certain to surpass them if you tough it out with classic controls. Just gotta keep at it.
M8, I've literally played other FG's and everytime your new you will face someone who knows everything even in the lowest ranks.

Even though my inputs are trash due to arthritis and general badness I'm yet to drop a full set to a modern player in ranked.
Inputs are just inputs use whatever the player with better decision making will win nearly always.
Io sono scarso cmq :)
