if you can dash with a single input, you can dash much easier in certain situations where normally it would be impossible.
To take this example further, imagine if we put Zangief's SPD onto a single button to make it easier. Zangief would suddenly become insanely outrageously overpowered unless they nerfed SPD into the ground.
If they wanted to make 1 button dashes, they would have to rebalance the entire way movement works in the game.
Whether or not they should have had 1 button dashes from the beginning is another debate. I'm just explaining why I think it's unlikely they will make this change.
I have zero bias or malicious intentions, this is a great idea that benefits everyone :^)

Well they can only press 5p x2 with their right hand. Doing anything 2 times with left button (dpad) is asking a bit too much.
