However, Fightcade will never die.

Yeah, and with the confirmation that crossplay is not a thing, I'll be surprised if I can find a match after the first week. Oh well, I guess this is just a thing for nerds, and I'll probably eat it up.

Online will likely be dead yeah, but these games getting modern ports will always be a borderline miracle with how much of a legal headache MVC is. So I’m more just happy that this is real

I only hope it'll have a physical so I can import it. Arcade Stadiums didn't receive them but I have a felling this one will mostly because the UI is same as Beat'em'up Bundle and CFC and all of those are available.

True that. Still getting the collection tho, I have hopes for MvC5

Apart from the two Wolverines the MVC2 roster was insane. We won't see a game with a default roster this size, ever again. Sadly.

Then again. Why bother if 99% of those who play online will always flock to the tOp TiErS, anyway? Wack.

Already knew that. FC people will never budge. Why pay when it's free.

I will definitely pick it up. Problem with these releases is they are just simple arcade roms. The inputs are notoriously difficult along with the token eating cheap cpu so most will not enjoy the experience. Would love to see Capcom do these collections with some gameplay updates.
I will say that if this doesn't sell any future MvsC title is probably DOA.

They said the same thing about the Darkstalkers collection, we bought it, we still have no new Darkstalkers. I'm not awfully convinced that the success of these collections have any real bearing on Capcom's business decisions. I also think at this point in time they're much happier just having one successful new fighting game than splitting the player base between two or three.

Especially now that a fighting game lives or dies by its online presence I think we'll just have to live with the fact that Capcom is just going to purely focus on Street Fighter with some rereleases here and there until we've been in an era lasting several years showing them that there's enough fighting gamers again that they won't be competing their own games into the ground.

No arguments here other than I dont know that the Dalkstalkers collection was really succesful. I think everyone says they will buy it but in reality they don't. I think the bigger issue is Disney. But if this game tanks it doesnt give Capcom much motivation to even consider a new one.

I get that, but I still have Saturn Marvel Super Heroes and XMvsSF and Dreamcast MvC2 at my parents' place, part of me is all "Why buy these games again?"

Depends on how much, how it runs, how the netcode is, and whether my friends get it to play online, which they probably wont, so maybe a sale. It is two of my favorite games, though. If they put the work in for modern 16:9 screens it would be more tempting.

Bet it will have an enigma update
