Don't get me wrong I'm tired of him too, basically every Akuma plays totally identically. But overpowered he ain't and the balance is the best I've ever seen in a fighting game.
I understand that the problem is me too. But I can't stand 20 Akuma a day, I'm trying to learn how to play Zangief, but against Akuma I just don't understand what I should do. He literally crushes me with endless pressure or zoning. He's even worse than Ken
Not to mention that his simplest combo does an abnormal amount of damage.
Step 2: Practice blocking and anti-airs.
Step 3: Eat.
Best they can do is release the option to block one character from the match-making and/or block mirror matches. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... That would be an awesome feature...
Game is actually balance. 5% is nothing. Absolutly nothing.
On games like Tekken or Granblue, this is more, REALLY more.
Just learn the matchup.
How the ♥♥♥♥ are you able to enjoy online matches when a new character drops if 99/100 matches are gonna be against said character?
This is madness. It gets boring FAST and can even become infuriating, down the line. Such option would actually SAVE the game. Online play would be much healthier.
Those who would misuse the feature would exist, yes, but would be a minority. Plus they could even add a rule: If you're already a Master with at least one character then you can't block any character. Simple.
Offline game modes are superior, when done right. *cough* Tekken *cough*
