Anyone use xbox series s/x controller?
Hi all. I borrowed this controller from a friend. Anyone uses it? I'm new at the game and listen your opinions about it's dpad.
Any comment appreciated
Thank you in advance

Switch it up, see what you like best. I have a Dual 4 and X/S. The Dual 4 seems good but I have trouble with consistency using it since the pad is inset I think. The X/S feels speedy, if that makes sense. Sometimes a little loose. That's why I go ultra scublord and use a Xbox 360 controller. The D-pad sits higher than the Dual 4 and X/S making inputs a breeze.

TLDR: Do you, whatever feels right.
I was out sorry couldn't respond. I couldn't decide to contiune using it or switching to something different so I wanted to ask opinions about it. I ordered a 8bitdo m30 controller all the comments were postitive and the product is afforable for me I have a tight budget. Thank you for the comment

Hi! I’m also new! Welcome to the nut house! 😂
I play on a controller, but I personally prefer (and use) DS4 for SF6 & majority of other PC games. However, in SF6 I almost never use arrows or whatever they’re called bc i’m so used to using the sticks for movement and camera coordination in other games, i find it hard to switch, but using the joysticks on the controller makes me to jump a lot unintentionally bc game is so sensitive to directional inputs. I feel like a mad monkey sometimes LOL
I was out sorry couldn't respond. I can't play with analog sticks you're amazing. I miss input a lot and idk why can't do supers most of the time and waiting like a puppet xd
From my friend's experience
Dualsense is a casino
My friend's first one from ps4 lasted 6 years in fighting games
The 5th one lasted one year.
Replacing the rubber band on the crossmember won't help.
If you really like dualsense, customize it into a mechanical one.
It can be ordered from China.
Not. I can’t imagine using the d-pad of any controller. I use arcade stick.

Thank you for the comment! I'll look for the custom keys then I hope I can find something decent with low budget. I can't afford if it is too much

Thank you for the comment. I can't afford a stick unf but I'll try my best to improve with what I have

Xbox 360. Cheap and easy to install. I use a Microsoft 360 usb wireless receiver and it has no lag.
Definitely but as others have said it's all fairly subjective I've tried a PS4 controller and an XBOX 360 controller but I'm more trash than usual at them while I find the XBOX series DPAD the most comfortable for motion inputs because of the webbing.

Just try to find out which works best for you and I'd even say keyboard might be worth a go.
A bit late answer but i think if you don't have enough money to buy a fighting stick, Xbox Series S/X Controller is the best option. It has 8-way d-pad which is insane for a fighting game like Street Fighter.

Isn't pressing diagonals a bit hard? I've been destroying my finger to press correctly When I want super instead of get a dp or otherwise sometimes I get only punch xd

Don't know how i could explain the way i play but basically, for an example if im going to use Hadouken, i slide my finger like down --> down right --> right. So i don't press them seperetaly, i just slide it. Of course maybe that's hard for some people but it's way more easier for me. I can easily use even the supers with this way.

I mess up inputs too… until I grind it enough in character guide in training where my thumb and my brain find that sweet spot for directional inputs to avoid a mess up.
That being said, there are inputs i have yet to perform once, such as Cammy’s advanced techniques. Directional input is a nightmare on one of them.
Then i exit tutorial, IRL happens, ad i cant even remember 99% of any of the inputs off the top of my head after a week of not playing

Sorry for late respond. I had to stay at hospital just returned. I'll try doing that in traning mod aslo sent a friend request I would like to ask more questions if it is ok

Hold your thumb low on the D-pad, down position. Don't hover over it. Your're looking for precision on your quarter circles. Go to training mode and just fireball standoff. After a couple 100's of those you'll be able to rip one off at an instant, which translates to dragon punch or charge down, back set-up combo.
