just use what feels the most comfortable to you, and what makes sense in your budget.
arcade stick gatekeeping is an art long gone by old veterans and everything is game.
I prefer using a keyboard as a hitbox. It's comfortable to use and provides a wide range of options for assigning shortcut keys.
Here is my keybinds:
Up = Space
Left = A
Down = S
Right = D
LP = U
MP = I
HP = O
LK = J
MK = K
HK = L
Drive Parry = H
Drive Impact = Y
Throw = B
K + K = N (for some characters like Ken when you press 2K he will rush)
You can play for a while and decide which keybind is comfortable for you.
TLDR: Do you, whatever feels right.
I don't think it's really designed for continuous play, it's made to call a winstreak in COD, to switch radio in Forza, to switch a weapon in Halo or whatever.
But then again, a lot of people really like it, so I dunno.
It's all preferences at the end of the day.
I play on a controller, but I personally prefer (and use) DS4 for SF6 & majority of other PC games. However, in SF6 I almost never use arrows or whatever they’re called bc i’m so used to using the sticks for movement and camera coordination in other games, i find it hard to switch, but using the joysticks on the controller makes me to jump a lot unintentionally bc game is so sensitive to directional inputs. I feel like a mad monkey sometimes LOL
