Worst UI/UX in history
I only played this game for a bit (12 hours), but damn...
Those menus are just horrendous to navigate. Who validated this ?

Seriously, the game is all right, but those menus are the most convoluted BS I've seen in decades.

I spent an aweful lot of time just figuring out just how to get the classic controls working, but NOPE. As soon as you dare to play online, the game suddenly decide you're gonna switch back to modern.

What a load of crap, seriously. Why can't it be a global setting instead of 40 different ones, ffs.

I'm not sure if the worst in history is quite right (you should try some of the nonsense they put out on PC back in the DOS era) but yeah nah, a little streamlining of the menus wouldn't hurt things.

You know it's bad when dark souls 1 has an easier menu to navigate.

As a former fullstack designer this game's UI gives me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmares.

This I understood well.
However I had to ask in the ingame chat how to look for ranked match while in the hub. How could I figure it's in the Square or X menu.

I believe there is a setting to make classic/modern control scheme your default scheme for all characters...... somewhere in all those menus :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

We're 5 new characters into the game and yet the one button shortcut into training mode is the best update this game has received.
Peddie Aug 17, 2024 @ 5:08pm
Funnily enough whenever I end up in th Fighting Ground menu I always just go back to the main menu and go to training from there because if I want to practice my main it's frankly faster than going through the Fighting Ground path into training mode.

There is absolutely an option for controls to default to classic over modern, but the UI of this game is not defendable.

I've started doing this exact thing, as well. :lunar2019laughingpig:

I love how this is literally the one thing nobody on this forum argues over. There’s just no defending the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is sf6 menus.

this game's menu are awful, along with connection to the servers.

if you cant navigate through this easy menue then you should consider never doing your driving license :shlam:
Most people do not even realize the shortcut for trainings room from the main menue. Reading helps!

well if it took ppl to go to ingame chat just to know which menu to do rank it's bad, even old dota 2 got more understandable UI(even with battlepass promotion shoved in the main menu)

Do you know where it is ? Still haven't found it yet, so any hint would be helpful.
Ngl, those menus have a tendency to make me ragequit the game before even trying to get into a match at this point.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that my very first attempt at playing a "friendly" match online, region-locked to Europe, instantly matched me up against a platinum japan player. While my mapping was reset to modern. Lmao, what a first experience that was.

Go to fighting ground, press the button on the top right. Go to character, select update character settings, control scheme and apply to all characters. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

In defense of SF6 it isn't the the most convoluted and obtuse menu I've ever experienced in a fighting game, that being said it is one of the most convoluted and obtuse menus I've ever experienced in a video game period.

I've spent 15+ minutes multiple times trying to figure out where the negative edge setting was so that I could either turn it off, or on because I can never tell if I love negative edge, or hate it.

Also there is some options menu in training mode that will allow you to record save states. I always feel super accomplished when I'm able to find it, only to question if I was just hallucinating or having a dream two days later when I can't find the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing again.
