Anyone think we will get Sakura before the game stops selling seasons of characters?

I get the impression Street Fighter 6 isn't going to get as much content as Street Fighter 5 even though it's a better game, particularly after the launch of Street Fighter 5, which was a disaster IMSHO.

I happily picked up Street Fighter 5 Arcade for $24.99 when it went on sale and have all the content, but I just don't see it happening with Street Fighter 6.

Any thoughts on what people think will be the future of Street Fighter 6?

I think we will get at least the same amount of characters as 5, but not nearly as much costumes.

Fewer, higher quality additions is better.

I'm not even sure that's going to be the case though. But if it is I think slower, better releases is a better strategy.

After 70 hours of Street Fighter 5, I wanted to get Street Fighter 6, but I seriously doubt I'll play Street Fighter 6 for anywhere near 70 hours.

the roster is pathetic, SF4 around this time had an amazing roster. SF6 still has a launch roster with wasted slots on guest characters from obscure games and characters that no one ever uses but they still keep bringing back like fatty and stretch man

I can't play e Honda at all but he's a great character. I like Dhalism, but my sweetie doesn't as I used to beat her with him or Cammy who she also doesn't like.

18 months into SF4 we were still on console vanilla SF4. SF4 Arcade launched on 7-18-2008, and we didn't get SSF4 until 4-28-2010. SF4 console had 25 characters. SF6 has 24 currently. And vanilla SF4 only had 6 new characters, and only 9 that weren't just SF2 returnees.

In fact, the only characters in SF4 at 18 months out that aren't in SF6 are all 6 of those new comers (Abel, Crimson Viper, Rufus, El Fuerte, Seth and Gouken), and Vega, Sagat, Balrog, Dan, Fei Long, Sakura, Gen and Rose.

Fatal Fury/King of Fighters aren't obscure games either.

Around this time in its life Super Street Fighter 4 existed, so your original purchase of vanilla SF4 was rendered obsolete.

feb 2009-april 2010 went by fast and it felt like sf4 expanded in no time. no one counts the arcade release in 08. this game dropped summer 23 and its already about to be summer '25 in less than 6 months.

also, we werent still on vanilla sf4 on console for 18 months. super dropped in 14 months.

People were absolutely playing the game in the arcade though, even in the US. There's no good reason to ignore it. Also summer 2025 won't start until June 21st, so it's more exactly 6 months away, not less than.

well then you can apply that same strat for sf6.

no character is guaranteed to be in sf6 so I just enjoy the game for what it is.

I understand, but SF6 doesn't have that many characters to start with and I'm concerned how many it will end with. SF6 seems to be about adding new characters and guests more than having established characters, although I like Lily, for example.
