His lvl 3 is kick button or 236236 K
You are probably pressing the button early at down foward [3] Make sure you end in foward then press P or K.
However, when it happens it is usually because of:
Yeah, make sure you press forward (aka let go of down) only (or move and hold stick to forward depending what controller you use) before you press relevant attack button.
I did some testing, and I think one needs to be careful not to slur two quarter circles together - if there is no neutral input between the two the game might still read it as fumbled dragonpunsh motion. I never run into it on stick, and N position comes naturally.
Try using training mode, so you can see your input.
Best way to discern what you are doing wrong is to go to the lab and watch your directional inputs, I used to have the direct opposite problem from you, many times i wanted to anti air with a dragon punch and got a lv1 super instead. That happened a lot because I crouch a lot in neutral and if someone jumps out of the blue, I'd try to dragon punch with a stored down directional and get qcf x2 by mistake.
There's also no need to perform any of the motions quickly, like we had to in the past, btw.
DQCF, for example, can be performed by just crouching and moving normally instead of t-bagging.
Lag spikes tends to ♥♥♥♥ the inputs, though. One more reason Modern is needed.
In online mode, I need 4-5 attempts to get one successful super art.
That said, there is a mode that can help you if you keep having trouble with your inputs.
