I fail at Ryu's super art -> dragon punch
How can you do Ryu's super art? I don't have the problem with other characters who do not have a dragon punch motion...I pull up the 2x quarter circle motion + button with them, but when playing Ryu, he does a dragon punch instead of the super art 90% of the time...

Shouldn't it be two half circles from down to forward?

His lvl 1 is quarter cirlce foward twice then P or 236236 P.
His lvl 3 is kick button or 236236 K

You are probably pressing the button early at down foward [3] Make sure you end in foward then press P or K.

Can't say I had this problem - sometimes I will wiff dragon punch into lvl3 super.

However, when it happens it is usually because of:

Yeah, make sure you press forward (aka let go of down) only (or move and hold stick to forward depending what controller you use) before you press relevant attack button.

Another idea - I have been playing for the last two days with keyboard instead of stick, and I did get a dragonpunch when I tried to do lvl1 super.

I did some testing, and I think one needs to be careful not to slur two quarter circles together - if there is no neutral input between the two the game might still read it as fumbled dragonpunsh motion. I never run into it on stick, and N position comes naturally.

I occasionally have this problem as well. It just takes a bit of practice.
Try using training mode, so you can see your input.

that means that you didn't do the down directional on the first qcf.

Best way to discern what you are doing wrong is to go to the lab and watch your directional inputs, I used to have the direct opposite problem from you, many times i wanted to anti air with a dragon punch and got a lv1 super instead. That happened a lot because I crouch a lot in neutral and if someone jumps out of the blue, I'd try to dragon punch with a stored down directional and get qcf x2 by mistake.

F followed by D then F instead of trying to emulate a Z by rolling your thumb and you will never miss a special anti-air ever again.

There's also no need to perform any of the motions quickly, like we had to in the past, btw.

DQCF, for example, can be performed by just crouching and moving normally instead of t-bagging.

Lag spikes tends to ♥♥♥♥ the inputs, though. One more reason Modern is needed.

It seems to be an online issue. In training mode (offline) the super art is pulled off 8-9 times out of 10 times.

In online mode, I need 4-5 attempts to get one successful super art.

Training is a controlled environment, an actual match is a whole other can of worms, online isn't eating your inputs, you're more likely just flustered. Goodness knows I've just done a Hazanshuu instead of the level 3 mid-combo when I'm all too aware landing the level 3 is my best chance at scraping out the win.

That said, there is a mode that can help you if you keep having trouble with your inputs.
